The Two Stages of Dental Implants
Remember that dental implants require two stages.
- The tooth implant has to be placed into the bone. Most patients tolerate this procedure well, with minimal discomfort for just a few days following the surgery. This phase of treatment is completed by a specialist, who closely co-ordinates your treatment with our team.
- Wait about three months for the implant to heal and integrate with the jawbone. Once the specialist has confirmed your implant has integrated and is firm and healthy, one of our dentists will place a porcelain tooth (crown) on the implant.
