Dr Kirstie Malley, BDS, Dip.MJDF(RCS Eng), MCGDent
Dentist
Dr Kirstie joins us from Scotland and has called Brisbane home for the past five years. North Brisbane Dental Clinic has become a real home away from home, where she feels lucky to be part of such a wonderful team and to have built lasting relationships with so many patients. She loves getting to know people, listening to what matters to them and helping them achieve their dental goals in a way that feels comfortable and right for them.
Kirstie has a gentle and calm approach to dentistry and takes particular care to make nervous patients feel relaxed and supported. Her previous experience in Conscious Sedation in Glasgow sparked her passion for helping patients overcome dental anxiety and feel confident in their care. She believes a positive dental experience starts with feeling listened to, comfortable and in control.
She provides a broad range of general dentistry, with particular interests in Invisalign, complex restorative and aesthetic dentistry. Committed to continued professional development, Kirstie completed her Post Graduate MJDF Diploma with the Royal College of Surgeons and previously worked as a tutor for FGDP Scotland, mentoring fellow dentists. She also holds a qualification in Facial Aesthetics.
Outside of dentistry, Kirstie is a keen yogi and loves the patience, mindfulness and calm that yoga brings to her life — qualities that conveniently come in handy when someone is nervous in the dental chair! She also enjoys long-distance running and taking part in running events, having completed several marathons.
When she’s not at the clinic, on the yoga mat or out for a run, you’ll find Kirstie exploring Brisbane by bike, hunting down great coffee and patisseries — she believes in balance: yoga for the mind, running for the legs and coffee for everything else!
