Meet Our Team
Dr Georgia Sheahan, BDSc - Dentist
Dr Georgia Sheahan attended the University of Queensland to earn her Bachelor of Dental Science degree and started in private practice in Windsor in 2009. Wishing to expand, she moved the clinic to Wooloowin and changed the name to North Brisbane Dental Clinic.
Georgia has completed continuing education courses in many fields and has a particular interest in paediatric dentistry, implant surgery and orthodontics.
‘I enjoy looking after people. So many people are scared of coming to the dentist, and I like proving to them that it doesn't have to be scary – especially children. Helping them through their first visit or seeing them smile on the day their braces come off is very rewarding. I also have a great team, who make going to work more enjoyable.’
When Dr Sheahan is away from the clinic, you will often find her expressing her artistic talents playing the piano. She has an Associate Diploma in Classical Piano Performance.
She also enjoys outdoor activities such as a day at the beach and bushwalking with her husband and two boys.
Dr Kristine El-Atem, BDSc - Dentist
Kristine is passionate about dentistry, and helping patients rediscover their smile is one of her favourite parts of the job. She keeps up to date with the latest technologies and techniques by undertaking hours in ongoing professional training. Kristine has studied cosmetic, restorative and implant dentistry from internationally recognised institutions to ensure she can provide best quality results to help her patients smile and eat again. Kristine has also undertaken training in cosmetic injectables for patients who wish to improve the health and appearance of skin and lips in a natural-looking way.
Kristine joined the practice shortly after graduating from the University of Queensland in 2012. Before studying dentistry, Kristine was a dental assistant for many years. During her undergraduate studies, she received academic prizes for her high marks in clinical and theoretical components of dentistry. Kristine went on to also complete a Masters of Philosophy in the field of Oral Cancer. She is a proud member of the Australasian Academy of Dento-Facial Aesthetics and also the Vardiman Study Club.
Dr Darius Khadembaschi, BDSc - Dentist
Darius was born and raised in Perth and completed his dentistry studies at the University of Western Australia. Since then, he has worked the majority of his career in a private practice in a small town called Ulverstone on the northwest coast of Tasmania. Additionally, he has worked in public clinics in Tasmania and private practice in Melbourne. He has also been a supervisor in dental student clinics in Melbourne and Cairns.
Darius has had a growing interest in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) over his dental career. He has pursued this interest by observing and assisting in OMFS clinics and operations while living in Tasmania. This is how Darius found himself in Brisbane, studying medicine at the University of Queensland with an intention to specialise in OMFS.
In his downtime, Darius enjoys getting outside and amongst nature, mostly to go surfing or rock climbing and occasionally hiking or mountain biking. He also enjoys listening to and playing music, particularly flamenco guitar, which he learned while living in Granada in southern Spain for eight months.
Dr Brodie Hill, BOralH DSc, GDipDent - Dentist
Dr Brodie Hill graduated from Griffith University in 2012, and joined the team at North Brisbane Dental Clinic after spending five years working in private practice in Melbourne. Since graduating, Brodie has completed hundreds of hours of professional development both in Australia and internationally, to ensure she is providing her patients with the most up-to-date, evidence based treatment available. A majority of this further study has been in the field of orthodontics, however Brodie also has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and sleep related breathing disorders.
Brodie loves to get to know her patients (beyond just their teeth), and with the help of her dedicated assistants, aim to make each dental visit as pleasant as possible.
In her spare time, Brodie enjoys exploring Brisbane’s culinary delights, attempting to keep fit, and travelling to adventurous destinations.
