Welcome Samantha!

Dental hygienist

Samantha is our wonderfully gentle hygienist and newest addition to the
North Brisbane Dental team. For some time now, we've planned to add a
hygienist to our team of clinicians, but wanted to wait until the perfect
person came along. We're lucky to have found Sam and you'll see why next
time you see us. She's an amazing hygienist, and we know because she's
cleaned the teeth of every one of our team members!
Sam graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy at the University of
Queensland in 2011. Over the years she has gained experience supporting
dentists and orthodontists, treating children and adults with a strong focus
on ...

Afterpay: It's finally here!

afterpay

After many weeks of organising and trying to sort out our IT issues, we are now thrilled to announce that we can now accept afterpay for our dental services. We understand dental treatment can be expensive, and often comes as an unexpected expense. We're hopeful that offering afterpay will help some of our patients afford their dental treatment with an interest free payment system.

Emergency Dental

A dental emergency can happen to any of us.  If you have a tooth knocked out or are suffering extreme pain from one of your teeth you should visit a dentist as soon as possible.

In the case of an injury to a tooth, getting to a dentist quickly can mean the difference between saving or losing a tooth.

Following these suggestions may improve the chances of saving your tooth:

  • Handle the tooth carefully and try not to touch the root as it can be easily damaged.  The root is the part of the tooth that was inside the gum.
  • Keep the tooth moist by placing it into a cup of milk. If you ...

What does it cost to visit the dentist?

Here at North Brisbane Dental Clinic it costs between $150.00 - $224.00 for a check-up and clean, depending on whether you need x-rays. If you have private health cover, most or all of this amount will be covered.  You can easily check with them if you like.

Once we have given your teeth a good clean and examination we will then provide you with a treatment plan if anything else needs to be done.

An important point to make here is that we will not start any treatment plan without first giving you a quote.

As you can appreciate the costs of treatment plans can vary greatly depending on what needs to be ...

Wooloowin State School Fun Fair

It takes more than a bit of rain to keep us away! The North Brisbane Dental Clinic team were out in force on Sunday at the Wooloowin State School Fun Fair.

The tooth fairy ;) along with the rest of our enthusiastic team had a great time meeting lots of families from WSS. Congratulations to Molly Venn, who won our jar of lollies for correctly guessing how many were in there! (151, for anyone who's wondering). The P&C did a fantastic job making the best of the bad weather, with beautiful crafts, scrumptious food, and face painting!  Well done to all involved, and we look forward ...

Custom Mouthguards

It's mouthguard season! As everyone starts getting ready for winter sports, the inevitable question always pops up - does last year's mouthguard still fit?

At North Brisbane Dental Clinic, we are firm believers in custom fit mouthguards. They protect the teeth by evenly distributing any force received over the entire mouthguard. Generic store bought mouthguards are often uneven and place more pressure on one area than another. This can result in injuries sustained to the teeth and surrounding soft tissues.

We understand that the usual costs involved in dentist made mouthguards can be difficult to bear, and as such, we've decided to heavily discount our mouthguards. If ...
